Shares of Jain irrigation soared over 1 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on order win for development of micro-irrigation systems network. “The company has secured an order worth Rs 189.02 crore for delivering water at farmer’s field through creation of water infrastructure and making it available to the farmer to deploy using micro irrigation systems in their respective farms,” the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company has received the said order under Indira Gandhi Nahar project, Rajasthan and to be completed over 18 months, it said. Boosted by the development, shares of company gained as much as 1.10 per cent at Rs 59.85 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange. In a similar fashion, stocks of company rose 0.51 per cent to Rs 59.65 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 28,855.70, down 143.86 points, or 0.50 per cent, at 11:35 hours.
