Electrosteel Steels hits upper circuit on bourses
Shares of Electrosteel Steels rallied 5 per cent and locked in upper circuit on the Bombay Stock Exchange after ET reported that Vedanta has submitted the highest bid for the debt-ridden company. Riding high on media reports, stocks of the company gained as much 4.98 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 6.75 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, shares of the firm were trading 4.69 per cent higher at Rs 6.70 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 34,450.36, up 97.58 points, or 0.28 per cent, at 11:50 hours.
