Shares of Ashok Leyland dipped up to 4 per cent on Tuesday at the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company announced closure of its Pantnagar plant due to weak demand and outlook for the industry. In a regulatory filing, the heavy vehicle manufacturer said that the plant will remain closed between July 16 and July 24. Following the update, shares of the company fell as much as 4 per cent in the intra-day trade at Rs 82.10 a piece on BSE. On NSE, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 84.70 apiece, down by 0.88 per cent . Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was at 39,049.35, up by 152.64 points or 0.39 per cent at 11:50 hours.
