Amtek Auto hits 5% upper circuit on bourses
Shares of Amtek Auto rallied 5 per cent and locked in upper circuit on the Bombay Stock Exchange after ET reported that UK-based firm Liberty House and US-based Deccan Value Investors have emerged as top contenders for the auto component maker. Riding high on media reports, stocks of the company gained as much 5 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 29.40 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, shares of the firm were trading 4.85 per cent higher at Rs 29.20 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 34,578.80, up 75.31 points, or 0.23 per cent, at 14:40 hours.
