The Indian Rupee was trading lower against greenback on Tuesday due to fresh dollar demand by exporters and banks as well as fund outflows. At the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market, the local currency was trading 3 paise lowher at 63.61 per dollar against a previous close of 63.57 per dollar (at 12:25 hours).
During the day’s trade so far, the rupee touched an intra-day low of 63.65 after opening at 63.61. Even, bullish trend in the domestic equity market failed to lift sentiment at local forex market. The 30-share benchmark index was trading at 34399.83, up by 47.04 points or by 0.14 per cent.
