Copper futures were trading lower during the late morning trade in the domestic market on Monday as speculators offloaded their bets to book profits. Analysts attributed the fall in copper prices to offloading of positions by participants amid muted demand at the domestic spot market. At the MCX, copper futures for August 2019 contract is trading at Rs 445.50 per kg, down by 0.29 per cent, after opening at Rs 447.40, against a previous close of Rs 446.80. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 445.30 (at 11:10 hours).
